Anak Sarawak Appreciation Award

A much anticipated event of the year, the Anak Sarawak Appreciation Award (ASAA) acknowledges the contribution of convention hosts to the growth of Sarawak’s meetings industry. Since the event’s inception in 2007, local hosts have been recognised in their effort to bid for international and regional conferences.

Every year, SCB will create a theme that surrounds the event and to encourage local talent to shine through this initiative. Themes from previous years include: Oscar Night (2007), James Bond (2008), Phantom of the Opera (2009), Night of the Pharaohs- Victory Feast (2010), and Rainforest Magic- Homecoming Warrior (2011).

However, in 2012, a new format will be introduced to further enhance the ASAA programme honouring not only the convention hosts, but event suppliers and industry partners. Furthermore, the ASAA will be the culmination of the Malaysia MICE Journalism Award.

Among the new categories to be introduced are:

3.The Best Incentive Programme of The Year
4.The Best Exhibition of The Year
5.The Best Venue of The Year
6.The Best Supplier of The Year
7.Malaysia MICE Journalism Award
